The pandemic years changed us all, and our repertoire for Perspectives has been chosen to reflect thoughts on all aspects of our everyday existence: change, life, death, love, friendship, and so much more. You’ll hear classics with a new twist such as “On a Clear Day’ and bob Dylan’s “The Times They Are A-Changin”, to new favorites like “Dos Oruguitas” from Encanto, and Alicia Keys’ “Good Job” which salutes the frontline workers during Covid.
Our guest artist, Scott Bardin, happily returns to the Contemporary Chorale for his fourth show, having performed in 2015 in the “Sounds of Sondheim”, 2016 in the 60th Anniversary show, and in 2018 in “What’s in a Name”, with treasured memories of each show. He is a 30+ year veteran of the theater, both musical and non, having appeared with numerous companies throughout the DFW area, as well as performing as a soloist for the Dallas Summer Musicals for 10 years. He met his wife, Cathy, of 31 years while performing in a silly bluegrass musical (yes, silly). Thanks to Melanie for giving him the call this year. Promises were made to keep singing, and promises we will keep. For you, mom.
