Walk on the Wild Side

In celebration of art, our feathered friends, and the summer solstice, AIR presents an opportunity to witness the shared links between art and nature.

Bring your binoculars, camera and friends and join us on the summer solstice to enjoy a closer look at the flora and fauna around us. Led by Roger Scott, Asst. Dir. of Parks & Rec for the city, and Becky Rader, previously the chief naturalist for the Dallas Museum of Natural History, and UTD professor and wildlife photographer, Dr. Larry Ammann, we will discover facts about some of the obvious and more hidden habitats within the preserve and how to enjoy them while respecting their wildness.

We'll be meeting in the lobby of the Eisemann Center at 8:15am and depart promptly at 8:30am.

After the nature walk (approximately 10:00am), we will view the "Field & Feather" exhibit in the Eisemann Green-Mezzanine Gallery, meet the artists and discover their inspiration and creative processes. "Field & Feather" highlights wildlife photography and avian collages.

To continue the conversation, we'll all go for lunch (approximately 11:00am) at Tavern on Main Street (115 E. Main St., Richardson, 75081) for lunch. Everyone's on their own for buying lunch.
