Photoworks 2021 is an exhibition comprised of diverse explorations of the medium created by students in Advanced Photography from the University of Texas at Dallas, curated by faculty member Marilyn Waligore. From experimentation in portraiture to transformations of human form achieved through digital editing, students challenge existing conventions and consider the psychological as well as the physical self. Embracing the potential of light represents another strategy, to include abstract light painting and play with optics. Finally, exploration of the everyday involves responses to color within familiar environments or the arrangement of processed food to comment on personal obsessions. Exhibiting artists include Hannah Carrillo, Shahreen Mallik, Cami Rettinger, Sreelekha Samala, Sheena SanJule, Huyen Tran, and Kalee West.

SP/N Gallery is located on the Northwest side of the UT Dallas Campus. Its physical address is 3020 Stewart Dr, Richardson, TX 75080. It is located at the entrance to the right of the Southwest Medical entrance close to the middle of the complex marked University of Texas at Dallas.
