The 8th annual Dallas International Film Festival, hosted by the Dallas Film Society, celebrates films and their impact on society and will run April 3 – 13, 2014.

A 501(c) 3 non-profit organization, the Dallas Film Society celebrates and honors filmmakers for their achievements in enhancing the creative community, provides educational programs to students to develop a better understanding of the role of film in today's world, and promotes the City of Dallas and its commitment to the art of filmmaking.

ABOUT THE FESTIVAL
The Festival will once again span 11 days and feature International Premiere screenings with nightly red carpet entrances at theaters throughout the city, award presentations, filmmaker panels and other special events.

The Dallas International Film Festival uses Dallas venues such as the Angelika Film Center, the new Alamo Drafthouse Cinema, Cinemark W. Plano, the historic Texas Theatre, multiple venues in the Dallas Arts District including Klyde Warren Park, the Nasher Sculpture Center and the Dallas Museum of Art as well as area high schools and universities.
