In partnership with the newly-opened branch of Texas Republic Bank and Prestonwood Pregnancy Center, AIR presents 14 artists and their works for a 2-day PopUP Art2 [The Sequel] – Art Exhibit and Sale on July 12-13. This event, celebrating neighbors and neighborhoods, will be held in the neighboring spaces of the bank and the pregnancy center.

Held throughout both of these newly-opened spaces, the “Big Bash Block Party” will feature the artists, their work for sale, musicians, food truck, drawing, scavenger hunt and more. You will not want to miss out on this fabulous party and celebration of the vibrant arts community in Richardson and what being a good neighbor is all about.

Texas Republic Bank’s neighborly attitude is reflected in its motto of “Banking like it oughta be!” Meet these new Richardson neighbors and learn more about their services and rich history. Prestonwood Pregnancy Center, an outreach of Prestonwood Baptist Church, offers free pregnancy tests, free early pregnancy sonograms, educational classes, referrals for ongoing support, and one-to-one mentoring for families facing unplanned pregnancies.

In keeping with AIR’s Mission and Vision, multiple artists will be featured during the 2-day event including sculptor and fused glass artist Nan Phillips (past President of the Texas Sculpture Association); Liz Conrad, mixed media, and Larry Ammann, renowned wildlife photographer, who are just concluding a 2-person exhibit at the Eisemann Center Green Mezzanine-Gallery; Todd Gutmann from Canoe of Folk with his abstract flag paintings; and pop sensation and award-winning photographer Kathy Tran.

Local artists and entertainers who will be performing during the “Big Bash Block Party” include members of the Richardson Symphony Orchestra, The Clarinet Doctors, keyboardist Kyle Flottman, guitarist Daniel Rodriguez and actors from Richardson Theatre Centre.

Easy Slider is the “happening hot” food truck for the event featuring a gourmet slider menu sure to please.
