The occasion for the creation of this documentary was the discovery of 72 minutes of silent black-and-white 16 mm film footage of Sam Peckinpah, director of The Wild Bunch (1969).

Paul Seydor is a film director and editor, best known for his work on White Men Can’t Jump, Tin Cup, Turner & Hooch, Cobb, The Day Reagan Was Shot (for which he won the American Cinema Editors award), Dark Blue, and Hollywood Homicide. He has just finished The Young Messiah, a Focus Features release for 2016 directed by Cyrus Nowrasteh.
