This film is rated R (for a scene of sexuality/nudity and brief language). This movie is an adaptation of the novel “The Price of Salt” by Patricia Highsmith. Set in New York City during the early 1950’s, Carol tells the story of a forbidden love affair between a young aspiring photographer and an older woman going through a difficult divorce. Starring Rooney Mara, Cate Blanchett, and Kyle Chandler.

There will be an introduction to the film by UTD professor Shilyh Warren.
