Francesca Brunetti’s Bio:

Francesca Brunetti was born in Rome, where she studied Philosophy at La Sapienza University of Rome. After pursuing her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Philosophy she moved to Scotland where she studied Art and Design at the Edinburgh College of Art and earned a second Master’s in Communication Design at the Glasgow School of Art with a focus on Illustration. Currently she has settled in Dallas, where she is pursuing a PhD in Aesthetic Studies at the University of Texas at Dallas. By working with drawing, screen printing, collages, and photography, Francesca analyses topics such as violence, alienation, and displacement. During her doctoral studies she wants to proceed with her artistic production and at the same time, develop an academic understanding of her visual work and of the material that inspires it.
