3661 North Plano Road, Richardson, TX, 75082

Since sculpting her first bronze in 1994, Angela Mia De La Vega has been creating figurative bronze sculptures for international collectors, corporations and institutions. She has created one of her signature bronze pieces, Whirlwind, at CityLine near Lot A apartments, in a pocket park on the east side of N. Plano Road. Exalting the human spirit through expressive faces and natural body movement has become Angela’s recognized trademark. She sculpts her honest observations, reflecting even the smallest nuance in character and ultimately revealing an acute, mesmerizing likeness to her model. Her work’s greatest inspiration is the curious and ever-changing individuality of her children.

Angela was elected to membership in the prestigious National Sculpture Society, an elite recognition of honor bestowed upon renowned sculptors for accomplishment and mastery over all aspects of their field. It their 79th Annual Awards Exhibition, Angela’s piece, Pivotal Moment, won a celebrated People’s Choice Award. The society promotes the excellence in sculpture inspired by the natural world. In addition, American Women Artists recently named Angela’s sculpture, Summer, Best in Show and Best 3-Dimensional Work Awards at its annual juried competition.

Angela graduated summa cum laude from Clarion University of Pennsylvania and completed undergraduate and post-graduate studies at the University of Madrid, Spain. Her work is represented by Vail Fine Art in Vail, Colo.; Pitzer’s Fine Art in Wimberley, Texas; Weatherburn Gallery in Naples, Fla.; and S R Brennen Galleries in Santa Fe, N.M., Palm Desert, Calif., and Scottsdale, Ariz.
