Matthew Placzek is a sculptor based in Omaha, Nebraska, whose monumental works are easily recognized across that city. He has completed major commissions for hospitals and college campuses across the country, in range of subjects and styles, including abstract botanical forms, realistic human and animal figures, soothing designs for healing gardens, and whimsical versions of team mascots.
