Ziggurat

Ziggurat

Based in the Pacific Northwest, Susan Singleton’s richly textured and leafed paper works, which she calls “Ziggurats” make a powerful statement in nearly any setting, and have found a home in hotels, hospitals, and corporate offices around the world. They are made by stitching together handmade washi paper, then dying and painting the surface. Subtle patterns are made with block prints and stenciling layered onto the surface.
